Calendar View The calendar in PD Place™ provides a quick, accurate, and consolidated weekly (or monthly) view of all in-services and events.
A mouse-over feature provides even more detail on individual in-services or events, including description, time, and locations.
Charting Your Own Professional Development PD Place™ provides a variety of search capabilities that make finding the right in-service simple, and the registration process quick and easy.
PD Place™ also checks for duplicate registrations and time conflicts automatically. Consolidated screens allow staff to quickly see the historical progress of their professional development, and plan for future growth.
Mentoring Principals and vice-principals can easily find the historical information for all of their staff, and can offer advice on future development areas.
With the PSIT feature in PD Place™, principals can make sure individuals that require the most training are granted spots, when openings are limited. On an as needed basis, principals and vice-principals can produce reports on who is scheduled for upcoming in-services, and can be proactive with substitution needs.
In-service Administration and Planning PD Place™ provides excellent tools for an administrator or co-ordinator to create, change, and monitor in-service details.
Registration deadlines can be set and enforced. Maximums can be set, and any overflow can be automatically added to a waiting list. This makes the monitoring and planning of additional sessions easy. Minimums can also be set, and administrators are informed if these minimums are not reached by a specified date. This allows alternative plans, or in-service cancellation, to occur in a timely manner.
Costs associated with an in-service can also be tracked and reported.
Communication PD Place™ reduces paper work and streamlines communication through effective use of standard email.
Staff are automatically provided with registration confirmations, un-register acknowledgements, change notifications, in-service reminders, special upcoming in-service notifications, etc. Administrators can be automatically provided with copies of registration notifications, PSIT requests, and in-service status updates.
In addition, extensive capabilities are provided to allow administrators, instructors, and principals to notify groups of staff, or registrants, with custom emails. Registrants can also send custom emails to instructors and administration.
